The Millstream Hotel in Bosham is a favourite among couples  having a smaller wedding. Just a short walk from Bosham’s beautiful natural harbour, The Millstream Hotel is situated in one of West Sussex’s most picturesque villages.

Most weddings I have shot at the hotel have had between 20-30 guests. They certainly excel at catering for this size of wedding. Given the added bonus that most guests can stay here too if they would like to then it is no suprise they are so popular. Couples have the option of getting married outside in the beautiful gardens, or inside in the well appointed and very comfortable lounge. As this wedding was at the beginning of a very chilly April, Charlie and Imogen opted to stay inside.

In a break from convention, we opted to shoot all the couple shots in the morning before the guests arrived. We walked down to the harbour to  but unfortumately it was rather windy. So instead we decided to use the beautiful narrow lanes around Bosham Church. After about twenty minutes Imogen and Charlie returned to their hotel room to prepare themselves. Meanwhile I returned to the Millstream Hotel to take pictures of guests as they arrived.

The service was in Marwick’s Brasserie, a large downstairs room lit by a large bay window. A very happy celebration with the couple surrounded by their family and friends. After a short interlude for guest to share their congratulations, I took various group shots outside in the gardens. Although it looked rather gloomy, the rain held off. The overcast weather gave a lovely soft light to all the portraits, and I was able to complete the list on time with no hitches.

Father and daughter enjoying a great day!

This was a short mid-week booking for me so I didn’t stay for the speeches or wedding breakfast. I was very happy with the images I produced though.
